Community Petition Against Endless Construction Noise

Published on August 27, 2020

Everyday people are doing their part by staying home. But our neighbours living near construction sites are being jolted awake every morning and unable to fall asleep at night because of endless noise. Premier Doug Ford altered the rules to allow construction noise from 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. seven days a week, Developers now have an 18-month exemption from Toronto by-laws that limit construction hours. People are working and physically distancing at home to keep themselves and their neighbours safe. Sign my petition calling for an end to unlimited noise exemptions! To learn more, read my letter with other Toronto MPPs to the Premier here.
